Embedded Finance
What is embedded finance?
Embedded finance refers to the concept of non-bank players (e.g. tech firms, ecommerce players) bringing financial services closer to customers and workflows. Examples of embedded finance include point-of-sale lending (e.g. buy now, pay later) by retailers, business banking services provided by ecommerce marketplaces, and payments offerings by social platforms. For the non-bank players, this is often about offering users a more complete and engaging experience – facilitating discovery, making it easier to transact, and ultimately keeping users on their platform.
