MDMA-Assisted Therapy
What is mdma-assisted therapy?
MDMA is a promising treatment in clinical trials to become an FDA-approved, therapist-supervised prescription treatment for PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) as soon as 2023. In clinical studies, the majority of participants with chronic treatment-resistant PTSD (typically for 10-20 years) no longer had PTSD 12 months after receiving MDMA-assisted therapy. MDMA-assisted therapy typically involves just 2-3 sessions with MDMA spaced a month apart, along with other non-drug therapy sessions.
