What is the metaverse?
The metaverse is a single shared virtual world that believers think will become a mainstream hub of interaction where users hang out, socialize, consume content, work and transact – interacting with digital objects and teleporting between environments in a highly interoperable, synchronous, less limited, and more "natural" way than possible on today's internet. The experience can be immersive (e.g. VR) or accessed in 2D through smartphones, PCs, and gaming consoles.
